Red ores you destroy throughout the missions are called Soulstone and you can use them for upgrades after defeating third mission's boss.

What is Soulstone

Soulstone is a crafting material for creating more health flasks. For each one of flasks you need to clear all red ores of a mission.

When you do that you can meet a NPC after defeating the third mission's boss fight and ask for a flask upgrade.

Mount Heinmach

1. Right after the first mini-boss called Heavy Imperial Soldier, keep going to your right and jump down where you see the first soldier.

2. After fighting bunch of monkeys and jumping down and right before yeti fight go up in your left.

Stormpass

1. After killing bunch of wolves look behind a tower structure in your left.

2. After defeating the bear mini-boss, going a little forward there is a path to your left that goes up. Go up and then go inside the cave in your left. There is a soldier in the cave and a Soulstone right behind him in left of the tent.

3. Past the bridge and after killing a hunter (archer) on top of a tower, go up the ladder and you will see a monster with axe in your right and the path to the last Soulstone of this area in your left.
